Gayl Humphrey is the Joint Lead for the Health Informatics and Technology Programme, at National Institute for Health Innovation, UoA. Gayl has a long research background including working in the health sector as strategy and innovation manager and as a public health researcher in New Zealand and overseas.  Gayl has experience in research and evaluation on the use of technologies as enablers to support and enhance health outcomes in the context of long-term conditions.   Her work with partners at NIHI,  ADHB and DHW in exploring a problem gambling app for relapse prevention is a finalist in the 2016 NZ Design Awards research  and 2010 her research in brief intervention and telehealth with colleagues at ADHB and Gen-i received the TUHANZ Health Award.
