Responsible for the overall operations of The Fono, Sally joined the organisation as Community Services Manager in July 2009, took on the role of Senior Manager of Services in 2013 and has been Chief Operating Officer since 2016. She has particular expertise in operational management, strategic implementation and quality management. She takes a community building approach to the development and implementation of integrated health and social services. Trained in quality management systems, Sally understands that successful organisational development requires systematic and responsive solutions. She has an internal drive to strengthen the position of Pacific and high needs populations and is a Registered Social Worker. Born and raised in Invercargill, she is of Tongan descent and is a graduate of Otago University.
