Crystal presented at the ANA Conference on Te Hekenga Model and guiding participants through this innovative co-design model.
Participants were involved in a practical and creative process called Te Hekenga which is a model that was used in the OR@-OL@ (a Māori and Pasifika mHealth approach) research as a navigational co-design approach alongside two communities, Waiwhetū and Ngāti Whatua. Workshop participants will learn about the use of metaphoric concepts within mātauranga Māori (manākitanga, kaitiakitanga and whakapapa), and the opportunity these alternative lens present to multidimensional health platforms in future. In this workshop we will present and share our learning journey on the overlapping of conceptual values and modern health interfaces.
